What Did I Do/Buy This Weekend and Weekday! (December 16-18, 2017)

Sorry about the late update everybody, but I think I felt bad yesterday. 😦 So today, I will do the Weekend Update! But since this weekend wasn’t very exciting for me, I will expand this update to today because it was much more eventful! πŸ™‚

On Saturday… I don’t even remember what I did. I think I just hung out and didn’t spend any money. At least I don’t remember spending money. Anyway, it was a nice day. πŸ™‚

Money Spent on Saturday

Total Amount Spent: $0.00

On Sunday, LOCMom and I went to Costco! I got my Christmas presents for LOCNephews Β and some canned Kirkland chicken. I also bought myself a Polish dog! They’reΒ like the all-meat dogs, but they taste better. πŸ™‚ Always good with deli mustard and relish. Wish I would have gotten a pic, but oh well. : (

Then, I went to TJMAXX and bought my shampoo with a gift card! I was originally saving the money on the gift card for a purse, but shampoo is more important than getting another bag, so I went with shampoo. πŸ™‚

This stuff is amazing! It cleans my hair and keeps it all kept-up for a few days!

Well after TJMAXX, we went home and relaxed all day. Can’t remember what I did… Nothing exciting really. πŸ™‚

Money Spent on Sunday

  • Shampoo – $13.93
  • Canned Chicken (budgeted) – 9.99
  • LOCNephews’ Xmas Present (budgeted) – $7.99
  • Polish Dog – $1.61

Total Amount Spent: $33.52

Now for the bonus day! Monday! A much more exciting day in terms of stuff I did. πŸ™‚

On Monday, LOCMom and I had to go to the dentist for our yearly check-up! But first, LOCMom wanted another pair of pants and she suggested we go to Goodwill for them, so we did! And guess what? LOCMom found a pair of Gloria Vanderbilts for $6.99! I was going to try on numerous pairs of pants since I think I shrunk down to a size 14 (Woohoo! πŸ˜€ ), but we didn’t have time. The only pair I tried on was a pair of size 14 pants that the waist was too high on me (High-waisted pants on me suck), so I could not get them even though they fit. 😦 Oh wellz…

So after getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist, the dentist told me my mouth was squeaky clean! No cavities what-so-ever! πŸ˜€ HOORAY! Just goes to show you you can use Crest kid’s toothpaste and it still keep your teeth clean! πŸ™‚

Than after this, I had to go to the doctor’s office and get an x-ray. I must admit I have been having health problems as of late dealing with bad constipation. So I got x-rayed to see if there was anything wrong with my gut. Fingers crossed the physician will give me good results and a solution to my problem! : (

Before and after the dentist today, I also hit up two different Dollar Trees for gift wrapping supplies, but I also bought a few other things for myself and OCC boxes as well. πŸ™‚ After all, everything is just a dollar, haha. πŸ˜› I even got LOCMom a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup candy for her stocking! She loves Reese’s and so do I! πŸ™‚

Then after Dollar Tree, we went home and relaxed!

Money Spent on Monday

Dollar Tree Purchases – $8.89

Total Amount Spent: $8.89

So that’s pretty much it. πŸ™‚ Unlike my millennial counterparts, I am just a boring adult trying to make it by each day at a time. Don’t really party or anything wild like that, haha. πŸ™‚

By the way, there will be no Monthly Budget Check-In blog post this month because I worked experimentally with a new budgeting platform and it frustrates me to go back and fix stuff. I’m OFFICIALLY working with Microsoft Excel now and this month, I have a better handle on things, so I will be able to post a Monthly Budget Check-In blog post next month. πŸ™‚ Sorry for the inconvenience everyone. 😦

How was your weekend?

  1. High five on the great checkup at the dentist! Hope you get to the root of your constipation problem, I have always suffered with this issue and it is not fun! We don’t have Dollar Tree here in Canada 😧πŸ˜₯ we have stores called Dollarama, but everything is $1-$4😬 I do shop there as it is still cheaper than our Walmart and Giant Tiger.I would like to wish you and your mom a very Merry Christmas πŸŽ…πŸŽ…πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽπŸŽ

    1. Well, I got results back from the doctor and he said everthing looks good besides me being a little constipated. Wants me to take fiber capsoles and drink more water. πŸ™‚

Aw, that sucks you guys don’t have any actual dollar stores in Canada! : ( I love my local dollar stores because I can find so many useful things in them for only a buck! πŸ˜€

And thank you. πŸ™‚ Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! πŸ˜€

  2. I love to go to the dentist too. It’s something I don’t neglect; I wish I saw my GP as often. The shampoo looks nice. Do you use a conditioner? I use Biolage shampoo and conditioner, and I buy it once a year at JCPenney on sale. I wash my hair every 3-4 days, so it lasts. I think it leaves a lot of build up on my hair, though. My weekend was really hectic, but I’ve learned to iron on Sundays so I don’t have to iron a shirt every morning.

  3. Have you tried probiotics for the constipation? This can really help. You can get capsules at a drugstore or health food store, but they can be expensive. Or you can eat a small amount of probiotic-rich food with your meals. For example, yogurt with live cultures, kombucha, or natural pickles or raw sauerkraut (like the Bubbies brand pickles or sauerkraut, available at health food stores). I drink about 4 ounces of kombucha with breakfast, and have a half a cup of yogurt with dinner. And sometimes I have a pickle or a small amount of sauerkraut. These are really healthy foods.

    1. Yes, I have tried this and it did not work. 😦 I ate Activia and everything is still bad. I’m going to start taking fiber capsules tomorrow and drink lots of water like my doctor told me to do, so I am hoping that works. : (

But thank you for your suggestion! I really appreciate the help! πŸ™‚

  4. Oh well, worth a try! πŸ™‚
My doctor told me to use magnesium citrate for occasional constipation. Not sure if that’s something that should be used regularly though.
Good luck with the fiber capsules and water! Hope that helps.
