Goals for 2018!

Hey, everybody! Hope everyone had a Happy New Year and great holiday season! Mine was okay, but I’m hoping 2018 will be even better!

I have a few goals that I want to accomplish in 2018 and beyond! I’m hoping to complete at least one of them. πŸ™‚

Losing Weight

Ahhh, this goal has been on my list forever! Last year, I successfully dropped about 15 pounds! WOOHOO! πŸ˜€ That’s 45 pounds off my knees! I am ever so closer to reaching my goal of 125 pounds! This year, I’m going to keep going and knock out my weight loss goal! I must be honest, there will be some chocolate here and there during my weight loss journey, but depriving yourself of things that you like is no way to lose weight, I find. So I’m going to enjoy my healthy food and chocolates all in the same day sometimes, haha. πŸ™‚ But I will prevail eventually! πŸ˜€

Keep Eating Healthy

And speaking of healthy food, my “diet” is basically my normal way of eating. I use good food to fuel my body and whenever I eat junky food, I feel bad afterward. : ( But even though there will be times when I eat junky food, I will not get away from eating good food! Even if there is candy in the house (which I am guilty of having around), I will still eat healthy, darn it! Basically, I love all of the healthy food I make because I make goooooood healthy food. πŸ™‚ I am very blessed to say that I do not mind eating the same foods each day even if the food is healthy. Repetitiveness food wise doesn’t bother me at all. πŸ™‚ Which is a good thing because I like simple healthy foods like the oh-so very millennial avocado toast.

Contrary to popular belief, this millennial does not buy “expensive” avocado toast at restaurants, but I make my own and I must say that mine is pretty darn good. πŸ˜‰ The key to good avocado toast is turning the avocado in guacamole and putting it on your toasted bread. Don’t forget the butter on the toast either! πŸ™‚ To make this very millennial food even more healthy, use organic whole wheat bread! Or just use regular whole wheat bread. Whatever floats your boat. πŸ™‚ And wala! The best avocado toast ever!

So yeah,Β food will be getting locked down by me during 2018!

Drinking More Water

OH MY GOSH… After my health scare during Christmas, I will be all about the water this year! DRINK DRINK DRINK. LOCSister said she would help me by buying me a huge mug that she uses for water. πŸ™‚ I gotta’ admit, it gets tiring going up and down the stairs in my house just to fill up my water cup again and again. But if I have a REALLY BIG CUP full of water, then no problems there! Looking forward to it!

Finishing My Book

When I was focused on my health problem back in December, I didn’t really feel like writing, so I quit for a while. But now that my health problem is over with, it’s time for me to start pecking some keys again! I REALLY want to get my book done or at least almost done in 2018. I mean, I figure I am about half way through my book since it is a short story and I want to hammer the rest of it out! So this year, one of my resolutions is to finish my story! I want to get it published so bad. I will probably go the self publishing route though once it is completed though. I feel that it is written in a strange way that regular book publishers might not be okay with the way I wrote it. It kind of has a script feel to the writing and not a lot of paragraphs to it, so maybe that is why.

So I am hoping to get that locked down this year! If I ever get my story done, I will be sure to let everybody know on the blog! πŸ™‚


And besides being even more frugal this year than the last, those are all of my goals I want to conquer in 2018! Man, I hope I can accomplish some of them! I will have my work cut out for me for sure, haha. πŸ˜€
