November 2018 Budget Check-In!

Hi, everybody! I am SO SORRY I haven’t updated the blog in a week. I have been feeling awful mentally lately and its hard to write when you don’t feel good. πŸ˜₯ But I am still here, dang it! > _<;

Well this month, it is time for November’s Budget break down! Come and see where all of my money went in November! ^ o^

Rent/Monthly Bills: $500.00

This category is what I pay each month toward rent and monthly bill-like things.

Activities: $0.00

Nothing going on this month! I will be getting a haircut in December though because my hair really needs it, haha… @ _@

Groceries: $113.59

Not bad for this month! About average I would say! πŸ™‚ What really clocks up this total is me buying canned sparkling water and Quest energy bars. And the energy bars are the worst. Not only does the company who makes them not sell them in bulk, but when you do buy them in bulk, you are NEVER saving money. You just end up spending how much you normally would pay if you would bought that many bars in bulk. Maybe you save like a dollar when buying them in bulk because the cheapest these bars go for in bulk are $2.00 each, but individually, they are sold for $2.17 each at the Frugalpants Grocery Store, or Winco.

So, I have switched to buying them in bulkΒ at Target to save a buck or two. Wooooooooo… > _> But alas, I think Quest Bars are the best energy bars on the market, so I buy them to eat for a quick breakfast. Helps if you eat one a day to keep them around longer. : P

I also made some Gyoza (Japanese dumplings) this month with ground sirloin, velveeta cheese, and mixed in a bag of Mexican veggies with everything. πŸ˜€ Love having dumplings around for a yummy meal! ^ _^

Household Expenses: $194.26

Almost reaching $200 in this category this month! O _O I guess I needed a few things, haha… ^ _^; Things included in this category are makeup bags for storing things in (trying to get away from plastic…), Shout Sticks, a knife sharpener, wooden clothes pins, and my annual $9 Operation Christmas child donation for tracking labels I put on my shoe boxes. πŸ™‚

And speaking of Operation Christmas Child, I just sent the boxes off last month! It was Collection Week finally and they needed to be sent off on their way! πŸ™‚ And because my boxes have tracking labels on them each year, I get to see where they are sent off to and once again, my boxes were sent off to The Philippines! πŸ˜€ Seems that my boxes are needed there all of the time, so that is good! Not complaints here! ^ _^

Misc. Items: $79.18

Not too bad in this category! There were a few splurge items that I could have lived without, but I would hate myself in the morning if I did not buy them… Dx This is basically the “splurge” category anyway, but there was this one item that I just could not do without when I saw it in November! I saw the CUTEST Betsy Johnson wallet at Ross and it was a wallet that looks like a teddy bear and the background of the wallet was covered in sprinkles. I picked it up, examined it, and then I said to myself, “The wallet is $15, but I would absolutely HATE myself in the morning if I left it here…” So I bought it. ^ _^

Check it out! πŸ˜€

bear

It’s hard to tell without a hand or a coin in the picture, but this wallet is a long wallet that holds dollar bills long ways. I really love it a lot! 8D But I think I got a great deal on it since I believe this item was an overstock item from Betsy Johnson since the Betsy Johnson tag on the wallet listed the wallet for 72 BUCKS ORIGINALLY on it! 8D So uhhh, I guess SCORE! ❀

Entertainment: $21.96

I came in low in the Entertainment category this month! I recently signed up for a subscription to the New York Times a few months ago when their subscription service was only $4 a month during a sale special and I am still locked into that. Have been enjoying it a lot so far! ^ _^ Will probably cancel it though once it returns to be around a flat all-in-one payment of 50 bucks a year for me though. πŸ˜₯

Eating Out: $8.97

Nice and low! πŸ˜€ I don’t think I went to any restaurants in November unless LOCMom paid for my meal (btw, thank you, LOCMom! πŸ˜€ ). This month, after reviewing this category, I just bought snack-like items here and there. πŸ™‚ Candy, pork skin chips, and what not. Nothing too exciting. πŸ˜›

Budgeted Items: $0.00

All clear this month! Woot woot!

And the grand total of how much money I spent this month is…

*drum roll*

Grand Total: $828.90

Woot woot! Mostly everything spent! Looking back, all was well. ^ _^ So far this December, I had to buy a lot of bulk food items, so I am feeling the heat budget wise already you could say, haha. But I am pretty sure I will be okay. ❀

How was your November 2018 budget?

    1. Thing is, I don’t know why I feel bad a lot of the time. I may just have low blood presure is all and I just need to give myself energy or something… Low blood pressure is a side affect of the medication I take, so it may just be that… : /

And thank you! Dropping off shoe boxes is one of my favorite times of the year! My holidays have been quiet so far, but good! πŸ™‚
